ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that JARRELL HOWARD, 36, of Watervliet, was sentenced to 6 years in State Prison, to be followed by 5 years of Post Release Supervision, before the Honorable William A. Carter in Albany County Court this morning.
On March 16, 2017, HOWARD pleaded guilty to (1) Count of Assault in the Second Degree, a Class D Violent Felony.
On April 8, 2016, at approximately 7:00 A.M., in the area of Lexington Avenue and Elk Street in the City of Albany, HOWARD assisted Co-Defendant ALFREDO WRIGHT who stabbed a serrated hunting knife into the torso of a male that was known to him during a physical altercation. The serrated blade of the knife caused organ damage to the victim and had to be surgically removed.
On October 26, 2016, ALFREDO WRIGHT was sentenced to 10 years in State Prison, to be followed by 5 years of Post Release Supervision, for his role in the stabbing.
