 Albany Shooter Sentenced   






ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that SHAMSIDEEM HARDY, 27, of Albany, was sentenced to 10 years in State Prison, to be followed by 5 years of Post Release Supervision, before the Honorable Judge Roger D. McDonough in Albany County Supreme Court this morning.

On May 30, 2017, HARDY pleaded guilty to (1) Count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class C Armed Felony.

On October 15, 2016, while outside on Clinton Avenue in the City of Albany, HARDY shot an adult male that was known to him in the stomach after a physical altercation. The victim was treated and survived the incident.

General Felony Unit Bureau Chief Steven Sharp prosecuted this case.
