Guilty Plea in Violent Armed Robbery  






ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that RAHKIEM JOHNSON, 23, of Albany, pleaded guilty to (1) Count of Robbery in the First Degree, a Class B Armed Violent Felony, before Honorable Judge Thomas A. Breslin in Albany County Supreme Court this morning.

On April 1, 2017, at approximately 6:50 PM, in the area between Clinton and Lexington Avenue, in the City of Albany, JOHNSON forcibly stole property by pointing a firearm at the victim and taking several valuables. JOHNSON was wearing a NYS Parole ankle bracelet during the robbery.

JOHNSON faces up to 11 years in State Prison when sentenced on SEPTEMBER 14, 2017.

Assistant District Attorney Dennis DiBari of the Major Crimes Unit is prosecuting this case.
