Chiropractor Criminally Convicted and 

 

License Forfeited in Sexual Abuse Case

 

 

 

 

ALBANY, NY - District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that SETH KOHL, 63, of Albany, was sentenced to two 6 year terms of Sex Offender Probation, to be served concurrently, before the Honorable Gary Stiglmeier in Albany City Court this morning. KOHL also forfeited his license as a Chiropractor with the Office of Professional Standards and will have to register as a sex offender.


On October 27, 2017, KOHL pleaded guilty to (2) Counts of Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree, both Misdemeanors.


On August 24, 2016, at 5:30 P.M., at Albany Chiropractic on New Scotland Avenue, in the City of Albany, KOHL knowingly and unlawfully had sexual contact with his patient without her consent while working in his capacity as a healthcare provider.


In a separate incident on February 6, 2017, at 2:30 P.M., at Albany Chiropractic, KOHL knowingly and unlawfully had sexual contact with a different patient without her consent while working in his capacity as a healthcare provider.


Assistant District Attorney Jennifer McCanney of the Special Victims Bureau prosecuted this case.
