Guilderland Subway Robber Pleads Guilty





ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that ANDREW CLARK, 27, of Altamont, NY, pleaded guilty to (1) Count of Attempted Robbery in the First Degree, a Class C Violent Felony, before the Honorable Peter A. Lynch in Albany County Court this afternoon.

On March 1, 2018, at approximately 8:45 PM, in a Subway Restaurant on Western Avenue in the Town of Guilderland, CLARK walked up to the counter and held a knife towards the cashier. CLARK then took approximately $223 in US Currency from the cash register. Officers of the Guilderland Police Department later found CLARK in the vicinity of the crime with the money in his possession.

CLARK faces 5 years in State Prison, to be followed by 5 years of Post- Release Supervision, when sentenced on June 1, 2018.

Assistant District Attorney Collin D’Arcy of the General Felony Unit is handling the prosecution of this case.
