   Arraignment in Cohoes Reckless 

  Endangerment Case 




ALBANY, NY- District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that THOMAS SLIVIENSKI, 23, of Cohoes, NY, was arraigned on (1) Count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class C Armed Violent Felony, and (1) Count of Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, a Class D Felony, before the Honorable William A. Carter in Albany County Court this morning.

An Albany County Grand Jury returned an indictment alleging that on January 28, 2018, in the area of Bedford Street in the City of Cohoes, SLIVIENKSI did possess a loaded firearm and created a grave risk of death to another when he recklessly shot the loaded firearm down a public city street towards people.

SLIVIENSKI pleaded not guilty to the charges today in court. No new court appearances have been scheduled at this time.

Assistant District Attorney David Szalda and Chief Assistant District Attorney David Rossi are handling the prosecution of this case.
