   Guilty Plea in Attempted Convenience

 Store Robbery 




ALBANY, NY - District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that JASON TRIBLEY, 32, of Albany, pleaded guilty to (1) Count of Attempted Robbery in the Second Degree, a Class D Armed Violent Felony, before the Honorable Peter A. Lynch in Albany County Court this morning.

On March 5, 2019, at approximately 2:00 P.M., at the Pine Hills Market located on 504 Hudson Avenue in the City of Albany, TRIBLEY did attempt to forcibly steal property from the victims and during the incident displayed what appeared to be a firearm. TRIBLEY was later arrested and confessed to the crime.

TRIBLEY faces 4 years in State Prison, to be followed by 3 years of Post-Release Supervision, when sentenced on July 1, 2019.

Assistant District Attorney Joseph Brucato of the Major Crimes Unit is handling the prosecution of this case.
