   Armed Robbery Trial Ends in Guilty Verdict



ALBANY, NY - District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that DAQUIN MONTGOMERY, 27, of Albany, was found guilty after a jury trial of (4) Counts of Robbery in the First Degree, each Class B Violent Felonies, and (2) Counts of Burglary in the Second Degree, each Class B Violent Felonies, before the Honorable William A. Carter in Albany County Court this afternoon.

After hearing testimony and reviewing evidence presented at trial this week, the jury concluded that on October 8, 2018, at approximately 8:30 P.M., MONTGOMERY, acting in concert with a co-defendant, unlawfully entered a residence on Washington Avenue in the City of Albany and forcibly stole property from (4) victims while displaying what appeared to be a pistol.

MONTGOMERY faces up 25 Years in State Prison when sentenced on November 12, 2019.

Co-defendant MARCELLE CHANDLER, 24, of Albany, previously pleaded guilty to the entire indictment and also faces up to 25 Years in State Prison when sentenced on October 26, 2019.
