After hearing witness testimony and evidence presented during trial this week, the jury concluded that on July 31, 2018, at approximately 2:30 A.M., SCOTT, along with a co-defendant, brandished a knife and forcibly stole property from an adult male victim who was not known to them while in the area of 293 Ontario Street in the City of Albany. SCOTT faces up to 40 years in State Prison when sentenced on December 6, 2019. Co-Defendant JOHN THAXTON (AKA TAYVON JOHNSON), 19, also of Albany, was found guilty of the same charges following a jury trial on September 20, 2019 and will be sentenced at a later date.
