 Sentencing in Cohoes Homicide Case



 

      



ALBANY, NY- District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that ANDREW LATHROP, 24, of Cohoes, was sentenced to 25 years in State Prison before the Honorable Roger D. McDonough in Albany County Supreme Court this morning.

On October 9, 2019, LATHROP pleaded guilty to (1) Count of Manslaughter in the First Degree, a Class B Felony.

During the morning hours of March 3, 2019, in the vicinity of 268 Remsen Street in the City of Cohoes, LATHROP, intending to cause serious physical injury to his girlfriend Sara Pascale did cause her death by repeatedly stabbing her with a knife.

Special Victims Unit Bureau Chief Shannon Sarfoh and Assistant District Attorneys Matthew Schrantz and Ariel Fallon handled the prosecution of this case.
