Grand Jury Returns Indictment for July Murder


  

  

ALBANY, NY - District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that PAUL BARBARITANO, 52, of Albany, was indicted by a Grand Jury for the July 2019 Murder of Nicole Jennings in the City of Albany.

An Albany County Grand Jury returned an indictment alleging (1) Count of Murder in the Second Degree, a Class A-I Felony. BARBARITANO was previously charged with Manslaughter and was released from custody on his own recognizance pursuant to the newly enacted bail statutes.

 

BARBARITANO is scheduled to be arraigned before Honorable William A. Carter in Albany County Court on January 15, 2020 any time after 9:00 A.M.

The indictment alleges that on July 6, 2019, BARBARITANO intentionally caused the death of victim Nicole Jennings inside of 8 Brevator Street in the City of Albany, meeting the elements of Murder in the Second Degree.

Executive Assistant District Attorney Jennifer McCanney and Assistant District Attorney Ariel Fallon are handling the prosecution of this case.
