  Guilty Plea in Bank Robbery Case 


ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that LEONARD PRICE, 54, of Albany, pleaded guilty to (1) Count of Robbery in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony, before the Honorable Peter A. Lynch in Albany County Court this morning.

On February 28, 2019, at approximately 2:55 P.M., PRICE forcibly stole U.S. Currency from a bank teller at Citizens Bank on North Pearl Street in the City of Albany. Officers of the Albany Police Department located PRICE in the vicinity of the bank approximately 45 minutes following the incident, wearing the same clothing and in possession of $900.00 in the exact denomination taken from the bank. The entire robbery was captured on surveillance camera.

PRICE faces 3 to 6 years in State Prison when sentenced on June 12, 2019.

Assistant District Attorney David Szalda of the Major Crimes Unit is handling the prosecution of this case.
