About the Vehicular Crimes Unit
The Vehicular Crimes Unit is tasked with prosecuting all felony vehicle and traffic related crimes in Albany County. The Office of the Albany County District Attorney has made the effective prosecution and rehabilitation of drunk and drugged drivers a top priority, with the ultimate goal being a reduction in the number of alcohol and drugged driving incidents in this County. This goal cannot be accomplished without the partnership of the local police agencies, the Department of Probation, the Sheriff’s Department, the Judiciary, Legislative Representatives, Victims’ Advocacy Groups, Drug and Alcohol Addiction Centers, and the STOP DWI Program. Continued communication among our partners is a critical component to a successful outcome for all vehicle related crimes.
