ALBANY, NY - The Office of the Albany County District Attorney and Albany Barn, Inc. are pleased to announce the winners of the 2018 Building Communities Youth Art Contest. The contest was open to middle and high school students enrolled in any school throughout Albany County. The participants were challenged to create a piece of art that reflects the beauty in their community, and the areas in their life for which they are grateful for, which may include nature, relationships, and positive opportunities they’ve been given.
The 7th Annual Building Communities Youth Art Contest is a joint effort between the Albany County District Attorney’s Office and Albany Barn to provide youth the opportunity to use art as a form of expression. The Albany Barn is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing a permanent and sustainable 21st century creative arts incubator and community art center in the former St. Joseph's Academy.
