   Manslaughter Plea in Remsen Street

Homicide Case




ALBANY, NY - District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that ANDREW LATHROP, 24, of Cohoes, pleaded guilty to (1) Count of Manslaughter in the First Degree, a Class B Felony, before the Honorable Roger D. McDonough in Albany County Supreme Court this afternoon.

During the morning hours of March 3, 2019, in the vicinity of 268 Remsen Street in the City of Cohoes, LATHROP, intending to cause serious physical injury to Sara Pascale, did repeatedly stab her thereby causing her death.

LATHROP faces 25 years in State Prison when sentenced on November 22, 2019.

Special Victims Unit Bureau Chief Shannon Sarfoh and Assistant District Attorneys Matthew Schrantz and Ariel Fallon are handling the prosecution of this case.
