Community Programs

The Albany County District Attorney’s Office recognizes the need for both outreach to the community, and multiple off-ramps to involvement in the criminal justice system. To that end, we’ve created a number of programs geared toward the best outcomes for youth, and the community at large

Community Justice Outreach Center

The CJOC is located on Clinton Avenue, and exists to empower our community through outreach efforts, re-entry services, and community justice practice. The CJOC’s community justice efforts are a collaboration between local law enforcement offices, public officials, community-based organizations, and community members

Diversion

Our Felony Youth Diversion program offers a clean slate for non-violent defendants who have demonstrated the desire and ability to repair any harm done to the community

Internship Program

Located only blocks away from Albany Law School, the Albany County District Attorney’s Office offers an opportunity for law school, college, and even high school students to see how day-to-day operations work first-hand

Focus on the Community

Our Emphasis is Building Strong Communities Through Strong Partnerships
