January 30, 2024. My political opponents thought they silenced me via character assassination, but they didn’t.
I’m still here, as I have been for years, demanding sensible action from the State Legislature to keep our communities safe and prosperous.
Fix bail reform. Fix raise the age. And while you’re at it, affirm your support of law enforcement, because while police may not have been defunded, they certainly have been demoralized, which has eerily similar effects.
We are less than two weeks away from the state budget deadline and policy issues are always tied to our spending plan.
So here are some questions for our lawmakers, as they craft this moral document:
How much are young black lives worth to you?
How much do you care about the shuttering of small businesses?
How much do economic losses from New York’s ongoing mass exodus bother you?
And finally, to fellow elected officials who have privately supported my positions, but have succumbed to progressive peer pressure publicly;
How much is your soul worth to you, and are you willing to sell it for political self-preservation?
