Guilty Plea for Repeat Theft/Burglary

28-year-old Tryze Miller, formerly of Menands, pleaded guilty to Two Counts of Burglary in the Third Degree.

Albany, NY – 28-year-old Tryze Miller, formerly of Menands, pleaded guilty to Two Counts of Burglary in the Third Degree before the Hon. Roger McDonough in Albany County Supreme Court yesterday (Wednesday, March 27th).


The original, six-count indictment alleged that on various dates between August and November of 2023, the defendant stole property from Dick’s Sporting Goods and Macy’s in Crossgates Mall. Specifically, Miller was accused of stealing a total of over $8,000 worth of items during that time period.


Sentencing is scheduled for May 17, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. Miller faces an indeterminate term of 4 to 8 years in State Prison.


Assistant District Attorneys Nicholas Pittari and Joseph Brucato, the Bureau Chief of the Major Crimes Unit, are handling the prosecution of this case.
