Albany, NY – 32-year-old Dario Lewis of Albany pleaded Guilty to One Count of Manslaughter in the First Degree before the Hon. Thomas Marcelle in Albany County Supreme Court this morning.

As a part of the plea agreement, Lewis admitted that on November 11, 2023, he attempted to cause significant physical injury to Elijah Thompson, resulting in conduct which caused his death.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 15, 2024. Lewis faces 25 years in State Prison, followed by 5 years of post-release supervision.

Assistant District Attorney Stephen Lydon and Trial Assistant Katelyn Kaczkowski are handling the prosecution of this case.
