Mandatory Persistent Violent Felon Gets 12 to Life

Albany, NY – 30-year-old Naftalie Trimino of Albany was sentenced to an indeterminate term of 12 years to Life in State Prison as a Mandatory Persistent Violent Felon before the Hon. Roger McDonough in Albany County Supreme Court Friday morning.


On January 19, 2024, Trimino pleaded guilty to Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon, a reduced third count of a six-count indictment.


The original indictment alleged that on or about July 11, 2023, in the area of 61 Quail Street, the defendant possessed a loaded pistol, as well as a quantity of cocaine. His plea satisfies all three counts against him in this indictment, as well as 5 uncharged drug cases.


Assistant District Attorney Bryanne Perlanski handled the prosecution of this case.
