Indictment Unsealed in 2021 Albany Homicide

Specifically, he is accused of causing the death of Alexander Bolton.

Albany, NY – 31-year-old Collin Billingsley of Albany pleaded Not Guilty to One Count of Murder in the Second Degree, and One Count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree before the Hon. William Little in Albany County Court this morning.


The indictment alleges that on or about October 9, 2021, in the area of 117 North Lake Avenue in the City of Albany, Billingsley intentionally caused the death of another person, and possessed an illegal, loaded, and operable firearm. Specifically, he is accused of causing the death of Alexander Bolton.


Billingsley was remanded to the Albany County Jail pending a formal bail application. He will next appear in court on June 26, 2024 at 9:30 a.m.


Assistant District Attorneys Bryanne Perlanski and Joseph Brucato, the Bureau Chief of the Major Crimes Unit, are handling the prosecution of this case.
