Guilty Verdict for Easter 2023 Homicide

The indictment alleged that on or about April 9, 2023, while at an address on Morris Street in the City of Albany, Anderson intentionally caused the death of 60-year-old Alonzo Ford.

ALBANY, NY – 38-year-old Isaiah Anderson of Troy was convicted of One Count of Murder in the Second Degree, and One Count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree following a jury trial before the Hon. Andra Ackerman in Albany County Court late Thursday afternoon.


The indictment alleged that on or about April 9, 2023, while at an address on Morris Street in the City of Albany, Anderson intentionally caused the death of 60-year-old Alonzo Ford. The defendant is also accused of possessing an illegal, loaded firearm on the same date and at the same location.


The defendant has been remanded pending sentencing. Sentencing is scheduled for July 26, 2024, at 1 p.m.


Assistant District Attorneys Ariel Fallon and Caroline Murray, the Bureau Chief of the Special Victims Unit, are handling the prosecution of this case.
