25 to Life in Albany Murder Case

Green intentionally, while acting in concert with others, caused the death of Hacief Oliver.

ALBANY, NY – 41-year-old Willie Green of Albany was sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison as a Persistent Violent Felon before the Hon. Roger McDonough in Albany County Supreme Court this morning.


On April 4, 2024, Green was convicted of One Count of Murder in the Second Degree, One Count of Criminal Facilitation in the Second Degree, and One Count of Hindering Prosecution in the First Degree following a jury trial.


The indictment alleged that on or about November 10, 2022, in the area of Second Street and North Lake Avenue in the City of Albany, Green intentionally, while acting in concert with others, caused the death of Hacief Oliver.


Major Crimes Bureau Chief Joseph Brucato, and Assistant District Attorney Marissa Olsen handled the prosecution of this case.
