Arraignment in Colonie Gun Case

Wang was charged with the following offenses: -Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the First Degree (One Count) -Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (Ten Counts) -Criminal Possession of a Firearm (One Count)
Albany, NY – 28-year-old Kevin Wang of Colonie Pleaded Not Guilty to a 12-Count Indictment before the Hon. Andra Ackerman in Albany County Court this morning.
Wang was charged with the following offenses:
-Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the First Degree (One Count)
-Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (Ten Counts)
-Criminal Possession of a Firearm (One Count)
The indictment alleges that on or about March 2, 2024 and March 5, 2024, while at 2 addresses in the Town of Colonie, the defendant possessed 10 or more firearms. Those firearms included several assault rifles, shotguns, and a pistol.
Bail was continued at $75,000 cash, $150,000 bond, or $$400,000 partially secured bond. Wang will next appear in court on July 1, 2024.
Assistant District Attorney Bryanne Perlanski is handling the prosecution of this case.
All parties are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty
