Arraignment in May 2024 Murder Case

Specifically, Kornegay is accused of causing the death of Kwon Lillard.
Albany, NY – 35-year-old Ulias Kornegay of Latham pleaded Not Guilty to a six-count indictment before the Hon. Andra Ackerman in Albany County Court this morning.
That indictment included One Count of Murder in the Second Degree, Three Counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, One Count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, and One Count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.
The indictment alleges that on or about May 24, 2024, the defendant caused the death of another person. Specifically, Kornegay is accused of causing the death of Kwon Lillard.
The defendant was remanded following today’s arraignment, and will next appear in court on August 5, 2024.
Assistant District Attorney Ryan Carty is handling the prosecution of this case.
