Guilty Plea in Albany Gun Case

As a part of his plea, Childs admitted that on or about June 18, 2023, in the area of 536 1st Street in the City of Albany, Childs knowingly possessed an illegal, loaded firearm.
47-year-old Lee Childs of Albany pleaded guilty to One Count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree before the Hon. William Little in Albany County Court this morning. Today’s plea fully satisfies any pending matters in Albany City Court, as well as the full initial indictment.
As a part of his plea, Childs admitted that on or about June 18, 2023, in the area of 536 1st Street in the City of Albany, Childs knowingly possessed an illegal, loaded firearm.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 4, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. Childs faces 8 years in State Prison, followed by 5 years of post-release supervision.
