Guilty Plea for Attempted Gunpoint Robbery

Albany, NY – 19-year-old William Camino of Troy pleaded guilty to One Count of Attempted Robbery in the First Degree before the Hon. Roger McDonough in Albany County Supreme Court this morning.
A superior court information alleged that on or about February 18, 2024, while at an address on Western Avenue in Guilderland, the defendant attempted to, while acting in concert, rob a victim while displaying what appeared to be a firearm. Specifically, the defendant admitted to brandishing a loaded 9 mm pistol during the commission of the aforementioned crime.
Sentencing is scheduled for August 23, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. The defendant faces a determinate term of 10 years in State Prison, followed by 5 years of post-release supervision.
