Arraignment in Madison Ave Restaurant Assault/Robbery

Specifically, the defendant is accused of stealing from the Shogun Restaurant on Madison Avenue in Albany, and causing serious physical injury to an employee of that establishment.

Albany, NY – 42-year-old Lucas Healey of Albany pleaded Not Guilty to One Count of Robbery in the First Degree, One Count of Assault in the First Degree, One Count of Robbery in the Second Degree, and One Count of Assault in the Second Degree, before the Hon. Roger McDonough in Albany County Supreme Court this afternoon.


The indictment alleged that on or about May 29, 2024, the defendant forcibly stole property from a victim, and caused serious physical injury to that victim during the commission of the crime, or during the immediate flight therefrom.


Specifically, the defendant is accused of stealing from the Shogun Restaurant on Madison Avenue in Albany, and causing serious physical injury to an employee of that establishment.


The defendant was remanded following today’s proceeding. He will next appear in court on August 16, 2024 at 11 a.m.


Assistant District Attorney Ryan Carty is handling the prosecution of this case.


All parties are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty
