Indictment Unsealed in Albany Sex Case

The indictment alleges that on or between approximately November 26, 2021, and February 1, 2022, while at an address on Quail Street in the City of Albany, the defendant engaged in oral or anal sexual conduct with another person by forcible compulsion.

Albany, NY – 44-year-old Dontie Mitchell of Albany pleaded Not Guilty to One Count of Criminal Sex Act in the First Degree before the Hon. Roger McDonough in Albany County Supreme Court this afternoon.


The indictment alleges that on or between approximately November 26, 2021, and February 1, 2022, while at an address on Quail Street in the City of Albany, the defendant engaged in oral or anal sexual conduct with another person by forcible compulsion.


The defendant was remanded to the Albany County Jail, and will next appear in court on August 23, 2024 at 11 a.m.


Assistant District Attorney Jennifer McCanney is handling the prosecution of this case.


All parties are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty
